Gum for hire…

gum for hire

…Cow gum that is, what we designers used to use to do paste-ups, when getting your hands dirty meant more than using a coffee splattered keyboard.

Richard Brooks began his career in the design industry, over 15 years ago, producing ground-breaking multimedia installations and digital computer animation, as well as magazine illustration and advertising, for clients such as The Princes Trust, Bloomberg Television, Focus magazine and XFM radio. Later specialising in print based graphic design, Richard joined a London studio, creating print and marketing material for Harper Collins, Macmillan, Penguin and Random House, among others. In 2010 Richard moved to France, starting his own multi-disciplinary design company, working in both print and web design for an international clientele. Richard also offers photography courses to visitors in Paris.

The Process

Brief

If you are interested in commissioning me to work on your design project, the first step is to provide me with a brief. Once you have confirmed that you are happy with the quote, terms and timescale for the project, a deposit payment of 50% will be requested.

Concept

On receipt of the deposit I will make a start on the initial concept designs for your project. These initial designs will be emailed to you in a PDF document, to preview and provide feedback on.

Design

When you have received the initial concepts I will ask you to comment and respond with your opinions (good or bad!). I will use this feedback to develop the designs further. The review and revise process will continue until you are completely happy with the final design reached.

Presentation

Your final design will be supplied to you via email, in a variety of formats for use in both web and print. Once the final design has been decided upon, you will be sent a final invoice via email.  Full copyright is automatically passed to the client upon receipt of this final payment.
