Oscar Wilde – his resting place – the before and after

Until recently the tomb of Oscar Wilde was a mecca for all who identified with what the man and his work came to symbolise. Somewhat ironically a sign on the tomb, asking visitors not to touch the monument, went unheeded and the stone became covered in hundreds of red lipstick kisses.

Now though the monument has been restored and protected…
