When The Golden Compass project dropped on my desk, part complete, I was happy to have the pleasure of working with more material related to Philip Pullman and the His Dark Materials series. I have always enjoyed working on film tie-in publishing material, not only do you get to work with some great book cover artwork, but you also get to be amongst the first to see, and work with, some of the film imagery too. This project was only complicated by the fact that we needed to adapt the existing artwork to complete the marketing brochure and later the header card for the dumpbin.
